The paragraphs below will give you complete instructions installing security hangers on the backs of picture frames and on your wall. Perfect for motels, hotels and other places where you don't want pictures to be taken, or fall off your walls. Security hangers work great in these areas. How to install Security Hangers: Special parts included in each package you buy from us: 3 frame brackets which take two screws each. 2 Wall brackets which take one screw each. 1 TEE Screw, plus some other parts which aren't always used.
#1 Place Frame Brackets on back of frame using two screws per bracket. Use two brackets on top of frame and one bracket on the bottom of frame in the middle of picture. If doing more than one picture, try to set up the brackets the same. That is, the same distance apart and make the bracket the same distance from the top edge of the picture frame. #2 Mark frame position on wall and mark wall where the two top brackets are located. Make certain your hangers are level on the wall. #3 Screw the two top brackets to wall using the two long screws. If you have sheet rock walls, drive the screw into the walls, then remove screws and push in the smaller plastic inserts. You may have to enlarge the hole slightly. Then drive the screw into the inserts. These inserts work very well on sheet rock. The larger plastic insert is for the TEE screw if needed. (later) #4 Hang your picture on the wall now from the two top brackets. #5 Mark the wall on the bottom where the bottom bracket on the picture frame is located. This is where the Tee screw will need to go on the wall. The tee screw will be screwed into the wall here and left in a horizontal position and the picture will fit over the tee screw and the tee screw will go into the bottom bracket. (that is if you have located it correctly!). #6 Using the security wrench reach in behind the picture and turn the Tee screw one half turn. Your picture cannot now be taken off the wall without this special wrench. #8 Rejoice! The next one you install will be much easier. Thanks for visiting GrignonsArt.com |
