It
takes a lot of work to start a picture frame shop. There are tables
to build that will hold your mat cutter, the vises used for assembling
picture frames, and usually other tables for dry mounting and assembly.
Not only tables but you will need a mat board storage box, glazing
storage cabinets, and cabinets for storage of customers prints.
The big question is how to go about building all this stuff and
knowing just how big to build the items. Most people build their
tables and fixtures way too small without understanding just how
much room and space is required when they start framing pictures
in earnest.
This book gives many directions and drawings on how to build many
fixtures used in the custom frame shop and will at least give you
lots of ideas and the proper dimensions that you should be building
them.
