The security picture hangers in this package fit almost all metal picture frames made today. Instructions are printed on each package and one package does one picture frame. You cannot install these security picture hangers, or the wood security picture hangars below without at least one special wrench you will see below. Both the metal security picture hangers and the wood frame security picture hangers use the same wrench. Make sure you know what picture frames you want the hangers for! The metal picture frame security hangers will NOT hang up a wooden picture frame.

Security Picture Hangers for Wood Picture Frames

These hangers present one of the very best ways to hang wood framed pictures in places where you don't want the pictures to be stolen. Each package set of materials will hang up one picture. Our package is made up using case hardened materials and our wrench is case hardened, lots nicer than the ordinary kits.

Once hung up, it is impossible to take the pictures off the wall without using the special wrench. This wrench is not provided (except in the Hotel Kit) and needs to be ordered separately. These are the best picture hangers to hang pictures in motel rooms or other places where you want the pictures to stay on the walls. Usually but not always there are small instructions on each bag. Notice: Hangers cannot be installed without at least one wrench available.

Some people already have security hangers installed and are just moving pictures around or otherwise need just a part. Note: No screws are provided.

Interlocking Security Picture Hangers

These interlocking security picture hangers are used on wooden picture frames that are 2 inches wide or wider. The piece on the far left gets screwed to the wall. The other piece gets screwed to the wood frame, and you should have it screwed to the wood frame, so that the top edge of the hanger piece is 1/2 inch down from the top of the wooden picture frame. This hides the top locking part from showing over the edge of the wooden picture frame when hung on the wall. To hang up easily, screw the pieces to the picture frame first, that way you can get the exact measurement for the wall pieces.

These security hangers are used where you want to secure a heavy picture that you don't want to see get knocked down such as bathroom mirrors. The picture can not get knocked off the wall accidentally as the top flange stops it from coming off the wall. To release the picture from the wall you can do so easily using a flat screwdriver to push the flange in while lifting up on the picture. This means the pictures are not burglar proof, but they are earthquake and kid proof ! These hangers will hold up a very, very heavy picture. No wrench needed.

Many pictures only require only one, two piece set; used in the middle of the picture frame. Other larger pictures can be hung up using two sets, one set installed on each side of the picture.

Art Guard Security Picture Frame Hangers

These new type of art guard picture hangers have a clip installed inside of them. They are for pictures which have the picture hanging wire installed on the back of the framed picture. To use these hangers, nail it to the wall, then it is real easy to slip the picture wire into the hanger and the clip stops the wire from slipping out.
