When Victor Santos left a successful career as a commercial artist, he turned his talents to the painting of still life’s and florals in oil and acrylic.
Santo’s was born in the Philippines in 1934, and earned a degree in fine arts at the University of the Philippines.
He began his career in advertising where he received numerous industrial awards. In 1971, while working as a commercial artist in San Francisco, he was persuaded to move to Vancouver to take up painting on a full time basis.
Santos style of realism displays a meticulous attention to detail.
His purity and line of glowing colors gives his work a quiet beauty which Canadian and American collectors respect.
Santos is now a Canadian citizen and works from his home in Delta, British Columbia.
Victor Santos is one of our favorite artists. The objects he paints are so realistic that you may imagine that you can really smell the intoxicating scents of the flowers in his fine florals…or the enticing aromas of fruits in his still life’s.
Below is another example of his art.
